IVI (Innovation Value Institute) Annual Congress was held on 2-3 of June, 2009 in National University of Ireland at Dublin, Ireland hosted by Intel Corporation and BCG (Boston Consulting Group)
“IT CMF (Capability Maturity Framework” was launched at the Congress’s Open Day event by the leadership of Dr. Martin Curley – Director of “Intel Labs Europe” where Prime Minister of Ireland and Innovation Leaders around the world participated as the Keynote speakers having the theme of “Winning with IT Enabled in Business Innovation”. The Congress gathered 80 participants who were the Innovation Leaders and executives representing the IVI Consortium member organizations and other organizations, companies and institutions whose businesses are based on Innovation.
The Gala Dinner and an Executive Meeting dedicated to Apple Corporation was one of the highlights of the IVI Annual Congress. The CIO of Apple Corporation (VP, direct report of Apple Corp. CEO) delivered a high level presentation covering the history of Apple Corporation, their innovation approaches and strategies. After a stunning presentation, the 80 participants found the chance of having direct Q&A with the CIO to be able to discuss innovation strategies, and foster innovation in their respective areas of business. The long session of Q&A lasted with long talking and information exchange with the CIO throughout the whole night. Ms. Berrin Benli – Co-Founder of NOVUSENS, met with the CIO of Apple Corporation after Gala Dinner and asked Apple Corp’s approaches and strategies in Turkey and other emerging markets like Middle East Africa regarding the establishment of related Apple Subsidiaries.
Ms. Benli was invited to the Board Dinner Meeting of IVI that was organized in the 1st day, was introduced to all the Board members and discussed the innovation business with them and found the opportunity of evaluating potential collaborations.
As one of the members of IVI, Berrin Benli also supported the “Public Sector” Sub-group workshop to be able to contribute to the development of “IT CMF” in Public Sector in Turkey and worldwide and also made multiple meetings with the Innovation Leaders to further enhance the business through the development of strong partnerships and collaborations during the Congress.
