We know there is continuing strategic interest in the concept of smart mobility. This project has successfully brought together key smart mobility stakeholders from the UK and Turkey to unlock the potential of the smart mobility market: public and private institutions, NGOs and academia, helping to support the smart mobility transformation in Turkey and improve conditions for its citizens. Specifically the project delivered a networking platform for sharing up-to-date smart mobility information for entrepreneurs from both Turkey and UK; new partnerships for know-how and technology transfer on smart mobility and increased capacity and capability of local and central government.

One key outcome from the project, is the smart mobility report presented today. It provides a broad-based, market-oriented review of future trade potential between the UK and Turkey. We hope this forward looking, evidence-based analysis can be used, along with the other activities, serve as a catalyst to unlock further UK Turkey smart mobility partnerships and collaboration. Various collaboration opportunities have already been identified in B2B events held both in Istanbul and London,. We really hope that this project is the start of a healthy relationship between the UK and Tukey in the field of smart mobility and continues to help facilitate new partnerships and collaboration”.
