“SUSTAINABLE and SMART: CANAKKALE ON MY MIND” CONFERENCE WAS HELD on 19th of September, 2019 in CANAKKALE!

An international conference has been organized as part of the Çanakkale on My Mind Project which started 3 years ago with the collaboration of the Kale Group, Turkey Informatics Association and Novusens Smart City Institute with the aim of helping Çanakkale’s growth in the Smart city transformation process. The conference was held with the active participation of all the related stakeholders and the needs/opportunities of Çanakkale’s smart city transformation has been discussed.
A total of 33 sustainability and smart city experts made contributions in seven different sessions throughout the conference which also coincided with the annual European Mobility Week held between 16-22 September 2019, that aims to promote sustainable transportation initiatives, and the event was one of the activities under that week.
With this conference, the Çanakkale on My Mind Project which started in 2017 aiming to contribute to Çanakkale’s livability and sustainability while leveraging technology and thereby improving the city’s competitiveness has reached an important point. In its third year and third phase, such an inclusive and comprehensive conference that contributes to Çanakkale’s smart city transformation has been organized for the first time.
